What I offer
Services
I work across three areas: architecture, quality, and AI. Most engagements touch more than one. The goal is always the same, clear thinking, sound decisions, and outcomes that hold up over time.
Solution & Integration Architecture
This is the core of what I do. I work in the places where systems that were never meant to talk to each other have to, where data has to move reliably across registries, claims platforms, third-party vendors and legacy connectivity, and where the integration is the genuinely hard part. I own that work end to end, and I'm as comfortable in the boardroom explaining a decision as I am in the design itself.
- Solution and integration architecture for complex, distributed systems
- Integration-heavy environments: APIs, event-driven systems, legacy and third-party connectivity
- Full-lifecycle ownership, from requirements and design through to the stakeholders across every consuming system
- Realistic modernisation roadmaps, not wishful thinking
- Architecture decision records, design reviews, and assessments
- Translating architecture into language that works for both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
- Architecture governance without unnecessary bureaucracy
- Helping teams move from ad hoc decisions to a coherent technical direction
Quality, DevSecOps & Observability
This is where a lot of my recent enterprise work has lived. I've built DevSecOps platforms, co-founded quality engineering functions, and helped organisations move from fragile releases to systematic, observable delivery at scale.
- DevSecOps platform design and implementation: strategy, tooling, and team enablement
- Center of Excellence setup: standards, workflows, and capability building across engineering teams
- Test strategy and quality engineering focused on real release risk, not just coverage
- Release pipeline design and deployment confidence
- Monitoring, alerting, and observability with Dynatrace, Grafana, and related tooling
- Secure development practices embedded in the workflow from the start
- Security tooling rollout and developer adoption at enterprise scale
AI, Built Hands-On
I build AI products myself, currently Lucra AI, which keeps me in the code daily: agent design, prompt and context engineering, the product itself. That hands-on work is exactly what makes my advice useful. I treat AI as a practical capability to be assessed in context, not a headline feature or a default answer. If it genuinely solves a real problem in your situation, I can help you evaluate the options and integrate them properly. If it doesn't, I'll tell you that too.
- Practical assessment of where AI fits in your systems, and where it doesn't
- LLM and agent integration into real product and enterprise environments
- Prompt and context engineering grounded in actual product work
How I work
Engagement style
I work both as a focused advisor on specific, well-defined problems and as an embedded technical lead for longer engagements, depending on what the team actually needs. Some situations call for a sharp, time-limited review and a clear set of recommendations. Others need sustained presence, someone in the room for the hard calls, week after week. I'm comfortable with both and happy to discuss what makes sense for your situation.
